The tentative schedule for the 2012 UBA Title Match this Saturday at Westlake high school has been updated slightly. Note that doors open at 7:00 am, the competition begins at 8:00 am, and is scheduled to end at 3:00 pm. Please be prepared to dance your event 30 minutes before it is scheduled to begin. Here is the tentative schedule for the Utah Ballroom Alliance Utah State Title Match coming up this Saturday, March 24, 2012. Please note that this schedule is tentative and subject to change. As always, please be prepared to dance 30 minutes before your scheduled event.

2012 UBA State Title Match Team Entry Form

Some have asked some clarifying questions, and here are some clarifications:

• Partnerships are allowed if at least 1 member is part of a school ballroom program.
• For Showdances, routines with 4 or more lifts must be entered in the Cabaret/Theater Arts category.
• Overhead lifts must compete in the Cabaret/Theater Arts category.

Remember that entry forms are due by tomorrow, March 16! Entry forms can be faxed to Westlake High School at 801-768-1068 by 2:45 pm March 16.

2012 NDCA Amateur National Championships – Marks

*NOTE* Earlier forms had incorrect dances listed for some categories. Dance styles will be the same as those danced at nationals at BYU. The entry form below has been updated with the correct dance styles.

The Utah Ballroom Alliance would like to introduce the first annual UBA State Title Match competition! This new competition is open to all students who are part of a ballroom team or program at a public, charter, or private school.

We will have all Open and Syllabus events for Elementary, Junior High, and High School. This event will also award the Utah State Youth Formation Team Showdance title. The Showdance  categories will include the following:

• Ballroom/Smooth
• Latin/Rhythm
• Cabaret/Theater Arts
• Swing

The Title Match will be held at Westlake High School on March 24, 2012. The entry form is available below:
